Evie has spent the past six years working at various child and youth outreach organizations before deciding to pursue her Masters of Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Martin Luther University College. Evie is a Play Therapy Intern through the Canadian Association for Play Therapy and has many diplomas in expressive arts therapy. She also has an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology major, Visual Arts major, and Theater minor.
Evie truly believes in the use of creativity and how it can be used therapeutically for all ages. She likes to use creative arts and play in her practice because it is a tool that helps the expression of emotions and helps individuals work through life’s experiences. Everyone can benefit from having a safe place where they feel they are heard and understood. Evie strives for her practice to be one where people are able to learn, feel affirmed, and express themselves. Evie believes that behavior has an underlying cause that can always be explored.
