Sarah Nyland is a Certified Child Life Specialist who holds a Master of Science in Child Life and Paediatric Psychosocial Care. Sarah provides evidence-based, developmentally and psychologically appropriate interventions to meet the unique goals of each child and family. Sarah specializes in assisting children and families with concerns about mental and physical illness, disabilities, trauma, emotional regulation, grief, loss and bereavement. Her clinical expertise, in facilitating creative and play-based interventions, supports children and families.
Sarah has worked in a variety of settings including community, hospital, and private practice. This has given her the diverse understanding of the many stressors and challenges a family can face. When you enter into a therapy session with Sarah, you can expect a supportive, safe and non-judgemental environment. Sarah works within a holistic and child-centered perspective.
